& Education joined in to unveil shOObh theme of the year 2016 गंगा | GANGA. The event started with lamp lighting. Ganga represents the purifying nature
of water and its importance in the life of all living creatures. Ganga is
used in spiritual cleansing from birth to death. Throughout the scriptures,
ganga has been worshipped and respected for her purifying qualities.
“shOObh aim is to share & spread Beauty
of Ganga using different art forms. shOObh theme of the year 2016 is
गंगा | GANGA ”, says
Bharat Gauba, shOObh Group. shOObh has launched three projects under the theme गंगा | GANGA; shOObh Arts Competition,
shOObh Photography Contest & shOObh NATYA. All projects are divided into 3
verticals School, Open School & Special School.
Thousands of schools from 12 countries
submitted best of their entries in shOObh-2015. Besides, contest &
competitions shOObh also organize workshops, exhibitions, seminars, panel
discussions, advocacy meets & more on the subject. The result of shOObh

In this connection, Shovana Narayan shared beauty of Ganga
using Natya mudras. She invited school children to come forward and share
beauty of Ganga in different dance forms.
She also shared details of shOObh Natya, the project is to search real talent & latent
qualities in young individuals, who will religiously carry forward the Indian
traditions in future.

Ela Menon talked about shOObh Arts and stressed on creativity. She also wished
to see more of creative works next year and advised participants to not to paint
Ganga postersas it is not a poster making contest. She reiterated to paint
Beauty of Ganga. shOObh Arts competition-2016, theme गंगा | GANGA is painting competition for school children. There is an open
category too. Anjolie also invited all to join and work to
clean the great river that defines us all and restore it to its sacred beauty
Ganga
